About Brad
Brad began his building career working across renovations, extensions and complex defect-repair projects throughout Melbourne. Over time he saw how often property owners were given incorrect advice, temporary fixes, or conflicting opinions — usually because the assessor lacked broad building experience.
Leak Masters was created to fill that gap: a leak detection service backed by real building expertise, capable of diagnosing, explaining and fixing problems at the source.

Why Buildings Leak
Most building leaks are not caused by a single failure, but by a combination of design, construction, maintenance and environmental factors. Certain building features consistently appear in Leak Masters investigations, including balconies over habitable rooms, rooftop decks, parapet walls, exposed windows, planter boxes and complex drainage systems.
The Leak Masters Building Durability Index has been developed from years of leak investigations across Melbourne homes, apartments and commercial buildings. It is designed to help property owners, purchasers, builders and designers better understand the factors that contribute to water ingress risk and long-term maintenance costs.
The index does not assess workmanship or current building condition. Instead, it evaluates the inherent durability of common building design features and their relative likelihood of contributing to future leak problems.
A higher score indicates a simpler, more durable building with lower maintenance requirements. A lower score indicates a building with design features that may require increased maintenance and are more susceptible to water ingress if not carefully detailed, constructed and maintained.
